Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Boolby when you create or use an account.

1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Boolby ("Boolby", "we", "us", "our") for use of the Boolby website, mobile web experience, apps, account system, matchmaking, chat, safety tools, premium features, support, and related services (the "Service").
By creating an account, joining the waitlist, using the Service, buying premium access, redeeming a coupon, or continuing to use Boolby after an update, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Safety Policy, Cookie Policy, GDPR Information, and any feature-specific rules shown in the product.
If you do not agree, do not use Boolby.
2. Updates to these Terms
Boolby can update these Terms and any linked policy when the Service, safety systems, business model, pricing, legal requirements, moderation process, or product features change.
We may update documents at any time by posting the new version in the Legal Center. The latest version applies from its stated effective date. For material changes, we may notify users in-app, by email, through announcements, or by another reasonable method. Changes needed for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or security may take effect immediately.
Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using Boolby and request account deletion.
3. Eligibility and 18+ requirement
Boolby is for natural persons who are at least 18 years old. You must have legal capacity to enter into this agreement and must not be banned or legally prohibited from using the Service.
By creating an account you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- Your birthdate, gender, email, gamertag and profile information are accurate.
- You are using your own account.
- You have not been permanently banned from Boolby.
- You will follow the Community Guidelines and Safety Policy.
We may ask you to re-confirm age, identity, email ownership, or account ownership if needed for safety or compliance. Accounts that misrepresent age can be permanently removed.
4. Accounts and security
You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping your login details secure. Do not share your password, 2FA codes, recovery codes, session tokens, verification links, or reset links with anyone.
Boolby may offer security tools such as two-factor authentication, recovery codes, trusted devices, session management, email verification, password reset, and security alerts. You are responsible for saving recovery codes if you enable 2FA.
We can restrict, lock, or terminate accounts that are compromised, abusive, fraudulent, underage, duplicated, used for ban evasion, or used in a way that risks other users or the Service.
5. Closed beta, waitlist and access waves
Boolby may operate in Closed Beta. During Closed Beta, the Owner may set a maximum number of verified users and may open access in waves.
If the beta is full, registration may be blocked and users may join a waitlist. Joining the waitlist does not create an account, does not reserve a spot, and does not guarantee access. When more spots are opened, Boolby may send a wave email to waiting users. Spots are first come, first served unless Boolby later introduces invite codes or reserved spots.
6. Your profile and content
You keep ownership of content you submit, including photos, bios, gamertag, games, icebreakers, messages, support tickets, reports, and other profile or communication content ("User Content").
You grant Boolby a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, resize, moderate, display, transmit and use your User Content as needed to operate, protect, provide, improve and promote the Service. This includes showing your profile in Discover, Matches, chat previews, profile links, moderation queues, support views and admin tools where appropriate.
This license ends when content is deleted or your account is deleted, except where retention is needed for safety, legal obligations, fraud prevention, billing, audit logs, dispute handling, moderation records, or backups.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, dox, shame, or abuse anyone.
- Send unsolicited sexual content or pressure someone after they say no.
- Post nudity or explicit sexual content in public profile areas.
- Promote adult paid services, escort services, commercial sexual services, or subscription adult content as the primary purpose of your account.
- Scam, phish, request money, manipulate users financially, or send malicious links.
- Impersonate another person or use misleading photos.
- Use bots, scripts, scrapers, automation, fake engagement, or mass messaging.
- Create duplicate accounts or evade bans.
- Attack, test, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass security of the Service.
- Use Boolby in violation of law or the rights of others.
Violations can result in content removal, warnings, visibility reduction, temporary restrictions, permanent bans, legal preservation, or reports to authorities where required or appropriate.
8. Matching, reputation and premium features
Boolby provides matching, compatibility scores, filters, swipes, likes, super likes, chat, reputation, profile visibility, boosts, verification badges, premium themes, profile insights and other features. These features may change, be limited, or be removed as the Service evolves.
Compatibility scores, reputation and visibility signals are tools, not promises. Boolby does not guarantee matches, replies, dates, friendships, romantic outcomes, gaming skill, safety, identity, or offline behavior.
Premium features are optional and can depend on plan, coupon, owner grant, lifetime access, beta status, region, billing state, app store rules, or payment provider configuration.
9. Paid services, coupons and refunds
Boolby may offer paid plans such as Plus or Pro. Pricing, renewal period, taxes, local currency, included features and cancellation instructions are shown at purchase or in the Upgrade/billing flow.
Coupons and owner grants may provide temporary or lifetime premium access. They can be revoked or expire according to their terms, abuse rules, support resolution, or technical correction. A coupon does not guarantee future pricing or permanent benefits unless it explicitly says so.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewals but normally does not remove access already paid for during the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to applicable law, Stripe/app-store/payment-provider rules, and Boolby's posted refund process.
10. Moderation, AI and human review
Boolby uses automated tools, AI-assisted classifiers, staff review, reports, user blocks, safety markers and audit logs to protect the Service.
Moderation can apply to profiles, photos, bios, icebreakers, messages, reports, support tickets, verification submissions, payment abuse, account behavior and safety signals.
Automated tools may block content, flag content, or route content to human review. Staff may view relevant account and message context for safety, support, reports, appeals, spam/scam prevention or legal reasons. Sensitive staff actions should be audit logged.
11. Appeals and support
Warnings and bans can usually be appealed through Safety & appeals or Support. Appeals should be honest and specific. Boolby may uphold, reduce, modify, or overturn actions.
Support can help with account access, billing, premium status, safety reports, technical issues, data requests and general questions. Do not send passwords, 2FA codes, recovery codes, full payment card numbers, or private government IDs unless a secure verification process is explicitly provided.
12. Service emails and announcements
Boolby may send service emails and in-app announcements about account security, verification, password changes, 2FA, waitlist waves, support replies, safety matters, legal changes, premium changes, pricing changes, outages, or major product updates.
These are service communications. They are separate from optional marketing emails. Some messages may be required to operate your account or comply with legal or safety obligations.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Boolby is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep the Service safe and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, perfect moderation, accurate compatibility, a specific outcome, or that every user is who they claim to be.
Boolby does not conduct criminal background checks on all users. Use the Safety Center, trust your instincts, and take precautions before meeting anyone offline.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boolby is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or user conduct. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Use the Support Center for account, billing, safety or data requests. For legal or privacy matters, use the contact information shown in the Privacy Policy or GDPR Information. If a specific email address is provided in-app or in a legal document, use that address for the relevant request.
